On TAGS, Aunt Bee mentioned her brother and sisters and nieces and nephews.
Barney mentioned his mother and father. Andy mentioned his father and his
wife.
But I do not recall Andy ever mentioning his mother. Does anyone remember
any mention of Andy's mother?
On that subject, I have been thinking about Andy's mother and father. Andy
tells Barney that his father gave him Asa's pistol when he was about 6 or so.
And Aunt Bee tells Opie that she raised Andy from the time he was Opie's age
at that time, which was about 6. So it seems to me that Andy's mother and
father must have both died about the same time, if not at exactly the same time.
