We have been talking about things that don't make sense on TAGS, and I may have spotted another one. In the episode "Howard The Comedian", Andy and Howard are shown arriving back in Mayberry the morning after Howard's first Talent Time appearance. It is a bright sunny day and all the guys are sitting out in front of Floyd's. My question is, why did Andy and Howard spend the night in Raleigh? They couldn't have been much more than an hour's drive from Mayberry. Anyone who can remember owning a television in the 60's will tell you that you could not receive television signals from a city much more than 50 or 60 miles away. There was no such thing as satellite or cablevision in the 60's. So Andy and Howard must have been close to home after the show. Why would they have wanted to spend the night? More than likely Colonel Tim's show was broadcast at 6:30 P.M., because that is when those locally produced shows were shown, not in prime time. That would have given Andy and Howard plenty of time to get back home.
