I happened to see an Adam-12 episode that was written by Leo V. Gordon. That name ran a bell since Luke Comstock (High Noon in Mayberry) was played by Leo Gordon. Leo had a prodigious acting career and also wote almost 100 screenplays including 21 Adam-12s, a couple of which he also acted in.
