One last sad death to report for 2016: william christopher, who played an I.R.S. agent and the new Dr. who took out Opie's tonsils (but couldn't carve a turkey!). He was also in 16 episodes of Gomer Pyle, but is best remembered as the kind chaplain in M*A*S*H. Nice guy--he will be missed.
