Since I injured my knee I have gone back and watched one of my favorite
episodes, "Otis Sues the County". I made several observations and compared
it to my knee injury. Before my exact nature of my injury was diagnosed I
had X-rays, three injections, and an MRI and then was told to use crutches
for two weeks and then return to my doctor. Now Otis filed a law suit
against the county for his knee injury when he never even went to a
doctor. Attorney Neil Bentley diagnosed Otis' injury and then proceeded
with the law suit. Wasn't it strange that no one ever asked Otis to submit
medical records that would prove that he suffered injuries? Even the
county's attorney who came to the courthouse failed to ask for any medical
reports.

Curious.

Today I spoke at an Annual Senior Citizen Luncheon in the town where I
taught for 30 years. It is always such a pleasure to speak to an audience
that I know so well. They were so engaging and asked a lot of great
Mayberry questions. I did some trivia with them and they were really great
knowing the answers.

Two car shows this weekend and the weather is suppose to be beautiful.
Both shows are sponsored by college car clubs so it will be attracting a
younger crowd so I am sure there will be quite a few there who will need to
be educated. Unfortunately I will be spending most of my time sitting in a
chair.
