For what it's worth...... I've read or heard somewhere that Andy's real wife at the time, Barbara Griffith, "vetoed" any long-term girlfriends for Andy if she felt they were too attractive. She had no problems with Helen Crump (Aneta Coursaut) - although anyone who's read "Andy and Don" would realize that she should have objected to her as well.
