I have mentioned on this site before that I am a big fan of Old Time Radio. You can hear a lot of Mayberry folks on Old Time Radio shows. For instance Floyd and Mayor Stoner both co-starred on "Gunsmoke". Anyway, one of the shows I listen to is called "Those Were The Days", out of Chicago, Il. on station WDCB. They broadcast every Saturday afternoon from 1-5 PM. If you do not live in the Chicago area, you can listen on your computer at wdcb.org. The reason I bring this up is that "Those Were The Days" is doing a 4 hour tribute to Betty Lynn on Saturday afternoon, May 4, 2019. Besides playing 3 old time radio shows starring Ms. Lynn, they will be doing a 1 hour interview with her by telephone. The interview is already recorded, and I have read a small excerpt. It is quite interesting. So if you are able, try to catch Thelma Lou on radio before she became Thelma Lou. For those who are busy on Saturday, the website "Those Were The Days - Nostalgia Digest" will have the show in archive for 2 weeks beginning 8 May 2019.
