I have often wondered why all those prisoners were in jail on Christmas Eve. When Andy decided to let them go home some were carrying wrapped gifts. I wonder what terrible crimes they must have committed which warranted jail time.
It seems Barney and Andy sometimes were very quick to jail someone, Poor Malcolm was in town for only a few minutes and Barney was ready to toss him in jail, as was Mr. Dave. And they never bothered to "book them" by doing any paperwork.
