Don’t forget that when Betty Lynn first moved to Mt. Airy back around 2006 or was it 2008? She was accosted in the Walmart parking lot and her purse was snatched. Some good Samaritans caught the mean ole criminal(s) and Ms. Lynn was once again united with her purse. I believe that’s why she left Calif – her apartment had been burglarized a couple of times. And look at the welcome she gets in Andy’s hometown. So it’s not just the recent nefarious activities, it just happens. There is no perfect town, anywhere.
