I believe Andy wears his badge exactly the same as Barney does, so there goes the "single-bullet theory". The guy who's badge wearing always bugged me was Matt Dillon on "Gunsmoke" - he wore his badge on his shirt, not his vest, just above his stomach, next to his shirt buttons. I always thought that looked goofy.
