Hi there Mayberry friends. In regards to the "Knock your block off" and
"knock this chip off my shoulder."
I was raised in a family of 4 boys, two of which loved a good scrap!
Growing up, I heard those two expressions
every now and then. (not directed at me however) :) . " Knock your block
off" is a threat of a fight, or "I'm
going to beat you up!" "Knock this chip off my shoulder". Is an invitation
to fight. At least that is how it
went with a couple of my brothers, waaaay back when!
Have a "good ole Mayberry Day"
