Is the statue of Lucy's college founder (The Lucy Show, S2E1--Lucy's College Reunion) the same as Seth Taylor (TAGS, The Statue S7E23)? He sure looks the same, except missing his right index finger, and painted to look like marble. I believe TAGS was filmed at Desilu studios, so maybe Seth found new life from the prop department. Anyone know the story of old Seth? He may have been a swindler, but he kept Mayberry the quiet town we know and love.
