I have been using WordPro97 (I hear the muttering) as my wp for a long while; it has got grumpy and picky about saving and so on. So I am keen to switch to OpenOffice which has been recommended on this very list.
But, oh but, oh but. It seems impossible to open .lwp in OpenO. Now I know about cut and paste, but we are talking a lot of files here. I s there a way out of this impasse? (I have tried a number of the wp and office suite programs and they seem to resent wordpro in the same way - I think Word Perfect was the only one to open other files easily, and that seems to have bit the dust). As always help and advice gratefully received.
