well then, take advantage of the pseudo class properties, i.e. a.nav: link
etc. in your style sheet and inline <a class="nav" ......> otherwise give us
a link to your page and stylesheet please, because that should have worked
from version 4 up.

Don't forget that inheritance can do apparently weird things if you haven't
thought that through...........
