Hi Brooke, > a couple of months ago the clock started jumping > FORWARD (not backward or lose time) one hour.
If he's anything like certain members of my family, he may well have been taken in by one of those fake error message banners on the web that say "your computer's clock is not optimised! download our software now!". If so, a sweep with AdAware should sort things out. It might also be worth making sure the PC's not synchronising with a time server: double-click on the clock in the system tray, select the "Internet Time" tab, and check that the "automatically sync with an internet time server" box isn't ticked. > he is notorious for accidentally clicking things > or hitting just the right key combos that changes > something or whatever and he never knows what > he's done In that case, while you've got the clock settings window open, select the "Time Zone" tab and make sure he hasn't set it up to adjust for Polish Daylight Saving Time or something ;-) Cheers Jon ____ • The WDVL Discussion List from WDVL.COM • ____ To Join wdvltalk, Send An Email To: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Send Your Posts To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To set a personal password send an email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the words: "set WDVLTALK pw=yourpassword" in the body of the email.
