You can place a link on your page directing them to where they can download a free MSWord Viewer from Microsoft. The link for grabbing it is (watchout for wrapping - should be one continuous line without spaces!):

It's around a 3.8 meg download, but Acrobat Viewer is much larger. :)
I'd also provide the file in RTF format as recommended by another member as it will open in most word processors.
