I've got the latest patches and am not having the problems reported. No problem getting to adobe.com by typing just that in my browser address bar, no http, no www.
How large is your Temporary Internet Cache? Problems have been reported it if is large and has 100s of mgs of files in it. The suggestion to flush the DNS cache from AuntySpam is also a good one.
