Deb, Absolutely no offence taken; there is endless discussion on most of these issues, and often being told or reminded of some simple point proves the answer. I have tried to give up OE many times, but its simplicity and range and (alas) reliability keeps it in play.
I'll let you know what happens when I give Eudora another try. I tried Bloomba (which archives uniquely for a mail client) but it too proved limited (in my hands anyway).
