Either in the code creating the table by identifying the column as Auto, or by using the Enterprise Manager and setting an Integer value for "id" (the typical auto column name) and then setting the Identity as "Yes" and then under Columns at the bottom of the page as Identity. Identity Seed and Identity Increment should both set to 1.
