Hi,

(Please excuse me if this is a double post. My original never came through on my end.)

I have just noticed that I have five instances of USB ROOT HUB in my Device Manager and two instances of USB Composite Device also in there. My computer seems to be taking longer to boot up. Do I neeeeeed all these? I was under the impression that all one would need is one USB ROOT HUB. I have one firewire device which is my external backup, all other peripherals are USB2 devices which include my all-in-one printer, a digital camera, cordless keyboard-mouse combo and tablet pen. I also have four instances of IntelR 82801EB USB Universal Host Controller but they all have different numbers assigned to them as: 24D2, 24D4 etc so I'm guessing I do need these. Can I delete all but one USB ROOT HUB and one of the Composite Devices? I know - I could try it and see what happens, but I'd prefer not to have to go back and reinstall things if I could get some input first. Running XP.

Thanks,
Deb
