Quick Web HOME PAGE Usability Review:

1. Small print. Can you offer "larger print" option button?
Seniors tend to need lawyers, and have poor eyesight.

2. "A tradition for legal excellence...etc." is not the
strongest claim that can be made by this firm.

3. "Ranked #1 Law Firm in Kansas 2003...by Chambers USA"
is an aspect that differentiates this firm from all others
in Kansas--and should be proclaimed, perhaps, on every page.
Is there some logo, award icon, some graphic that can be used?

4. That map is nebulous. Why not have some text under it that
says, "Select office nearest you" and label Wichita, Topeka,
Overland Park on the map near FS logo/icons, rather than
assume clients understand the map and its linkability?

5. I don't like Home Pages full of news or lists of articles,
when the site is for an org that offers products or services.

6. I suggest a list of practice areas, each area is a link
deeper into site to page associated with that practice area.

7. If a few news items are very urgent, use a subhead "URGENT
NEWS ITEMS" with inverse pyramid heads that link to full article.
Include a succinct sentence with each link to motivate users to
read more.

8. The lead in paragraph: "Foulton Siefkin is Kansas' largest law
firm, with over 70 attorneys providing a full range...etc." is
corporate speak. Jazz it up with:

Tap into the expertise of the #1 law firm in 
Kansas according to Chambers USA 2003 ranking.

Take your pick of over 70 dedicated attorneys.
Select from 12 areas of practice.
Covering everything from civil litigation...
..to business law...to labor issues...and more.

We're ranked #1 for a series of reasons.
(etc. etc.)

9. I suggest a phone number for each office, on the Home Page,
for fast access for users.

OVERALL: Break that dense, print medium copy into shorter
paragraphs, bulleted/numbered lists, easier to scan.

You have many good, important things to say...but dense text
blocks are a pain to read. Users skim until they find relevance.
