I think if would depend on how you are previewing it. I have no problems
when I preview in browser using Dreamweaver but I have IIS installed with
the PHP interpreter so using my "testing server" as configured for the
Dreamweaver site works fine. If you don't have a testing server check the
Dreamweaver help file for "live preview" to see if what is required.

I don't usually write my PHP stuff in Dreamweaver so I can't say for sure,
but I wouldn't have thought so.

Of course it might include a PHP interpreter these days, but I'd be
surprised :-)

Presumably if you upload the page to a server running PHP everything works
fine?
