I know this has worked for me: .plan_name { color: <?php echo $colorG ?>; font-weight: normal; font-size: 18px; font-family: Trebuchet MS, Verdana, Arial; } Maybe try: .top { background-color: <?php echo $top_row_color ?>; } ===================================================== Thanks Steve. Same issue as with Sheila: poor articulation of the issue on my part. The style sheet is in a php page not added as an embedded php script. Works in the style sheet therefore without echo and without quotes. The rule seems to be use quotes within a tag and none between tags. Exactly why that is so escapes me. drew ____ • The WDVL Discussion List from WDVL.COM • ____ To Join wdvltalk, Send An Email To: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Send Your Posts To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To set a personal password send an email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the words: "set WDVLTALK pw=yourpassword" in the body of the email.
