I have a php script which produces a list from a table in <SELECT></SELECT>
on one form which relates to that table.

I am putting that script into another form with the object of selecting one
option and entering the id of that row into another table. At the moment
when I call the page the script executes and fills a row in this second
table with 'id'.'0','0' and gives a blank web page.

I imagine that this

'{$_POST['$poem_title']}',

is the fault line and needs to have a select id of first table where
'poem_title' is selected. (similarly a second entry).

Can someone point me in the right direction to write the piece of code?

The object is to select from 'types' listed in table a, match with the
subject in table b, and enter the match in table c which will have id,
subject, type - neither subject nor type is unique in table c though both
are in tables a and b.

TIA

Joseph Harris
