I think this guy clearly over-reacted. He's opened himself up to a lawsuit.
The person he names, Shayna McCollough, has contacted him, publicly even,
has offered to work with him, and has warned him that he could be sued. Yet
he continues to rant.

Shayna is correct in that there is much more involved in building the site
than just the design, and that the design can easily be changed.

It almost sounds like he likes the attention he's getting being the 'wronged
party', and would prefer to continue to rant than to try to fix the problem.

Just my 2 cents

Diane

I'll agree with that.

There is a startling lack of originality in the world but then just how
original can you get and still have a functional site?

Face it the both sites are a variation of the header, top nav, left
secondary nav, content area and footer layout so commonly used. Lord knows
I'm guilty of using that basic layout, as are most people.

"Fraud" is a pretty strong word and I don't think it's particularly
appropriate here. "Plagiarism," however, is much more accurate. Would
Creative really be interested in filing a suit? Who knows. There are a lot
of commerce sites out there that look a whoooole lot like Amazon, though,
that's for sure.

The response was not posted by the designer, I think. It reads more like a
project manager.
