PC Magazine just recently did a mini product comparison and a video editing 101 article that was pretty interesting. My personal favorite
for the PC is Pinnacle. I have the Pinnacle Liquid Edition, but that does require a bit of an expenditure. The company does have entry level
packages as well. I did a search at http://www.pcmag.com/ for "video
editing" and that brought up several articles. Good Luck.
