Bug in IE, break your lines up in the code like:
item 1

Item 2

Or
item 1

item 2

item 3
I don't know about you guys but I'll be very glad when IE 7 or whatever they call the next browser from Microsoft comes out. Or at least a major update that would fix some of the silly error in IE 6. I could deal with the box model difference. In fact I prefer the IE box model but having just one in compliant browsers would be so nice, no matter which one was chosen. Take a look at http://positioniseverything.net for some cross browser issues and the css-d list wiki at http://css-discuss.incutio.com/ Cheryl D. Wise Certified Professional Web Developer Microsoft FrontPage MVP http://wiserways.com -----Original Message----- From: Ross Clutterbuck Having a bit of a problem with IE6/Win adding extra whitespace to a set of lists. http://www.themmen.co.uk/newsite/ is the page. I've made the font size ridiculously small intentionally to illustrate the problem I'm having. At this point I have not applied any margin or padding to any
items, but look at the page in IE and you'll see all the extra white space added to the right-hand panel sets of lists. However the lists in the main left-hand panel behave how I want them to (i.e. bunched up at this stage). Look at the page in Firefox however and you'll see things render properly (of course). The XHTML markup is semantically identical -
nested inside a
- except for the differing IDs of the
s. Even the CSS is pretty much the same for the
and
items. ____ • The WDVL Discussion List from WDVL.COM • ____ To Join wdvltalk, Send An Email To: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] or use the web interface http://e-newsletters.internet.com/discussionlists.html/ Send Your Posts To: wdvltalk@lists.wdvl.com To change subscription settings, add a password or view the web interface: http://intm-dl.sparklist.com/read/?forum=wdvltalk ________________ http://www.wdvl.com _______________________ You are currently subscribed to wdvltalk as: archive@jab.org To unsubscribe send a blank email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe via postal mail, please contact us at: Jupitermedia Corp.
