I sent this email (see below) at the start of
last week but haven't had a single response from
the list!! Is everyone in UK so busy? (I want
someone in UK as it is easier to arrange to meet
to discuss the site and then any problems that may arise.)
Before passing it to someone not on this list I
thought I'd ask just once more. (That does not
mean I'm desperate! I have four companies keen to
do it - but I always prefer to work with people I already know if possible.)

I have done some web development in the past.
However, I now have a UK client that needs a site
that I simply don't have the time to do due to my
wife's current sickness. He wants to provide an
online service supplying technical leaflets and
similar items to clients in various industries
that will be subscribers to the service.
The subscription - likely to be no more than £50
plus VAT per annum - will provide a user name and
password, plus a certain amount of data (relevant
to the industry sector in which the subscriber
operates). Any additional items required can be
downloaded by subscribers with each document
being individually priced. Documents can be
available as either Word.doc or .PDF format.
There is server space available and at present
the database of documents will approach 500 but
will grow beyond that. The payment handler has
been identified, as has the shopping trolley
package which already integrates with the payment system.
The need therefore is to put the site together
and make sure everything works, but handing it
over in a format that will enable him to add or
remove documents and delete users when necessary
(adding which should be automatic on subscription).
Does this interest anyone (preferably UK based)
and if so what additional information might be needed?
You will be required to sign a legally binding
Confidentiality Agreement and demonstrate
previous ability in this type of project.
