Since I last installed a program a few days ago Windows Installer has stopped doing its job - the message is that it is either corrupted or missing or that Xp is in safe mode. Windows unhelpful Help has instructions for using the Command Prompt, which I do not like using...

I have restarted twice - Xp is not in safe mode.

I cannot find the appropriate action to take on the Dell discs.

Has anyone any advice, suitable to my rather nervous feel about tinkering too much?

Joseph
