Cheryl, Yahoo groups is a mail list with a web interface that people can choose to access if they want. It is not a forum in the same sense we are discussing. I own/moderate several Yahoo and Google Groups. That is why they are called groups not forums.
What Ruby was talking about are forums with email notification of posts in thread/topics you subscribe to. Most of which also have RSS feeds that act in a similar one way manner. Not ones you post to via email.
