Just to let you know, I've created the new list.
I went with the name devtalk in the end, as it's simple & effective
enough, I think, and getting the new list up & running in plenty of time
for everyone to join up seemed more important than deliberating over the
name :)
You can see the list info and subscribe to it at:

If you prefer, you should also be able to sign up by sending a mail to
devtalk-subscr...@lists.preshweb.co.uk
Once subscribed, the address to post messages is
devt...@lists.preshweb.co.uk (you'll get a welcome email from Mailman
with instructions, anyway).
Archives of the new list are kept and can be found at the URL above,
along with a link to the archives of the wdvltalk list over at
mail-archive.com.
