Having finally finished up my contribution to the bag exchange I find myself wanting to be an exchange mom. But what to exchange? My first thought was something with a name draft, but not everyone is a weaver. So...placemats? Altar cloths? Dolls? Maybe even book marks. Let's put our heads together and come up with an idea to share ourselves in a more tactile way. LisaEagerly awaiting the wonders of the bag exchange in chilly (and white) Edmonton.Hi Lisa, I love the idea of another exchange! One list I am on has Round Robins of different sorts. Lots of the folks make things so there is a soap box RR for soaps people make, a seed RR, a herb RR and we just started a tea RR. I am excited to be on the tea RR. The way they work is someone is the RR *Mom* or starter. Folks that are interested in being on it send things to that person. All of the stuff is put in a box or envelope and sent to the first person on the list. That person takes out what they want and adds an equal amount. Puts the next label on and back in the mail it goes! I've done a lot of trading on that list and it is great fun. I don't have most of the things like seeds and herbs, but I do have lots of * stuff *. I've traded tins, blank journals, note cards, and even rocks for seeds! It is great fun. So although I am just beginning as a weaver I'd love to trade stuff with anyone! Oh, I found a weaving group and will be attending my first meeting November 16! I am really excited! MoonWeaver |
