i am running SLES9_64bit. Meanwhile i found out what problem i have but i don't
know how to solve it. I didn't compile mysql i installed a rpm for SLES9_64bit
because i am not expert with linux. I get this message in the log from mysql:

061110 10:01:20 9 Connect Client does not support authentication
protocol requested by server; consider upgrading MySQL client
10 Connect Client does not support
authentication protocol requested by server; consider upgrading MySQL client

can you give me a tipp to solve this problem??

Hmmm... I use 32bit FC4/5/6, so I'll help as much as I can. I normally
SU to root from a user, and have to run fully-pathed executables... so
the pathing below may be a little different to your SLES9 pathing :-)

Firstly, is your Postfix RPM compiled to support MySQL lookups? You
can tell by running:

/usr/sbin/postmap -q "[EMAIL PROTECTED]"
mysql:/etc/postfix/mysql-virtual.cf

which should render:

v1rtual_addy.d0main.tld

Also, do you have the pam_mysql installed?

/bin/rpm -q pam_mysql
