I too agree that it would be nice feature to integrate to web-cyradm, but I like to think web-cyradmin as an admin tool, not as a user tool. That's just my point of view, of course, but since there are lots of good sieve tools already available, I don't think it should be main priority with web-cyradm. The problem with using sieve is that the tool to manage sieve scripts should be powerful enough to manage all other sorts of filtering rules too, not only vacation or forwarding (although web-cyradmin uses postfix to mange forwarding, not sieve scripts). Why, you may ask. The reason is that sieve management tools almost never parse the actual sieve script, instead they use some other structure to maintain editability, and upon editing just replace the actual sieve script. That's why they are rarely compatible with each other. So, when it's time to select some tool to manage vacation & forwarding, I'd recommend a tool that is powerful enough to also manage other filtering. Sieve is great tool for server-side mail sorting and all other stuff too, not only for vacation / forwarding. And since many webmail applications already support editing sieve rules at least via some plugin (avelsieve for sm), I'd integrate those features to webmail instead of "forcing" users to login to different system when setting vacation & stuff. Easier that way, one url for user to remember.

Hello,

But it would be great to have such options in web-cyradm: setting
vacations message and forwarding. It seems, that this is not so difficult
to integrate. Jus user logins with his username/password and gets 2
options:
1. to set vacations message
2. to set forward to another email address.

Kind regards,
Martynas

Squirrelmail + avelsieve plugin ( http://email.uoa.gr/projects/
squirrelmail/avelsieve.php ) is quite usable. For only sieve-filters,
http://smartsieve.sourceforge.net/ is good. Allows proxy-auth too.
Use only one tool, though; they're rarely compatible with each othe.
If you're already offering squirrelmail, avelsieve is the best way to
go. Remeber to set sieve's pam module to authenticate via whatever
method you're using (probably mysql).

Hello,

Are there any possibilities to make access for simple users for
setting
vacation messages? My users want to set vacation messages by
themselves
and there is no such possibility now :(

Could somebody help?

Kind regards,
