rename myfolder .trash/myfolder as indicated at [1], I get:Couldn't rename file "/public_html/myfolder" to "/public_html/.trash/myfolder"
Please try it again. I fixed the umask on your public_html/.trash directory.
Using sftp and renaming files into your .trash directory is the correct approach.
