If you want some more specific help from us, I think you'll need to
add timers and/or logging to the various parts of your application.
This way you can figure out where your performance bottlenecks are.
You could also try running other applications on the server and see if
*they* are performing slowly. This could tell you if the problem is
with the server itself, or just with web2py.  You could try running a
different appliance, to see if the trouble is with web2py, or with
your appliance.
