Do you know jqwidgets from www.jqwidgets.com? That's a superb jquery based 
widgets, than i think may be included in web2py.

There are a commercial licence, but you can use jQWidgets for free under 
the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 3.0 
License<http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/3.0/>
