Since I am a new user my post is published a while after. During past time, I have figured out what the problem is: My form is generated by *SQLFORM.factory.* When I iterate through *form.custom.widget*; *id* field, which is inherently there, appears in the list; and its type is *str*. Now I discard fields whose type is str.
