Manuele,
This is something that I would find useful - this sort of document workflow is useful in content-management scenarios. Took a look at the recipe - got a general idea of what you have done. Still building up my competency in Python to better understand this. I was wondering if something like this workflow could be a decorator on the internal DAL methods instead (by default it is OFF, but can be switched on based on a setting). For that matter, the example you have provided where the developer introduces it in their application is great start.

Thanks for sharing this information. I will provide more comments (and possibly help too), once am done with my personal project deadline.

Hi,
I noticed in the past some threads in this group about a workflow
implementation for web2py framework... in theese two days I needed to
understand in case I need a workflow engine for a web application how
can it be realized inside web2py.

I found that docflow[1] could be a nice solution to adopt for my needs
so I realized this recipe[2] I want to share with you in order to
collect your opinions.

I think it's still a unripe idea to become more than a little recipe and
I hope some of you would like to help me to start up a more solid
project such as a web2py plugin or an application to distribute.

I'll be glad of any suggestion.

Cheers
