Ok I removed it in my pull request. At least, in my manual testing, no infinite loops happen:
https://github.com/web2py/web2py/pull/515 This way reset_password saves the key in request.vars so it doesn't have to worry about it's positioning in the args. I did completely ignore Auth.reset_password_deprecated, I'm guessing it should be deleted.
