from gluon.dal import SQLCustomType
boolean = SQLCustomType(
type ='boolean',
native='TINYINT(1)',
encoder = (lambda x: 1 if x else 0),
decoder = (lambda x: True if x else False)
)
then
Field('xxx', type = boolean,...)
