i think the best practice is using web2py source, put it on any directory and create the startup script like shown above. just change the path of /Applications/web2py.app/Contents/MacOS/web2py into any directory you put your web2py folder e.g. source /site/bin/activate # if you plan to put web2py in virtual environment python /site/web2py/web2py.py --nogui --no-banner -a 'a' -i 0.0.0.0 -p 8000 -d /var/run/web2py.pid &
