I apologize and I conclude my statement is not correct. I have experienced this problem once (out of disk space and sqlite database corruption) but I made the mistake of confusing correlation with causality. Except in that occasion I never had any problem with sqlite and I do use it on production. On my web site (web2py.com) I only run sqlite.
