Hmm, I just tried it in the current 'welcome' app (1.94.5), and changing the background color in div.flash in base.css works for me. Maybe you've got another div.flash defined somewhere else that's overriding the one in base.css. You could try adding '!important' to the declaration in base css (i.e., 'background: #<your color> !important'). Anthony
