[web2py] comparing two strings in two functions in other function in controller.

Hi,
   I have two functions which generates two string lists ,I want to extract 
the list of strings by comparing the two lists,the basic code is there I 
just want to call the two functions in other where I compare the two lists 
.How can I do in a controller.
