My name is Jay Cross, Jr., and I, like many Americans, am a dedicated user of
the popular file-sharing service Napster. However, I know that Napster will,
sooner or later, be forced to close it's doors forever. I've done some
research about Napster alternatives, such as Gnutella, WinMX, and FreeNet,
and so far, FreeNet has impressed me the most because WinMX just uses
Napster's server and Gnutella seems kind of difficult to use. I know that
FreeNet has not yet published an official version yet, but i am still
impressed because it means that you are concerned with the quality of the
product, not getting it done fast. This is where I come in. I want to propose
my idea for a new FreeNet logo and program design. The new stuff wont change
the way the program works, just how it looks. My friends and I are masters of
graphic design, and the young users that I'm sure FreeNet wants to attract
can really be drawn to something by how it looks.Once they are drawn to the
looks, they can see how easy FreeNet is to use, and pick FreeNet over the
likes of WinMX or Gnutella. Even if you dont want to use the designs right
away, you can keep them for future reference. if this sounds like something
