this is absolutely correct.  you should make sure to translate the files in
the tran-site/lang/en/ root directory not just the tran-site/lang/en/blocks/
and tran-site/lang/en/content/ directories.

Also you should NOT simply copy the files from en/ to it/ and then begin
translating.  You should only place documents in it/ once they have been
translated, otherwise the system will think an italian translation is
available when that is not the case.

it might be possible to create modules for each language.  that would allow
a healthy separation between and among translation efforts and the normative
english site. I will look into this, but I am learning CVS day to day, hence
part the delay in get the site up.  my apologies.

ian or another project administrator will need to approve you access to CVS
once you've gotten a sourceforge account.
