hello,

first, thanks so much for macam, it's an excellent and very valuable piece of
work. i'd like to use the creative live webcams, and help out if i can. the
one i have is a webcam live! instant, though if i can get it to work my
ultimate goal is to use the more expensive ones with the wide angle lens for
motion tracking in art installations.

here's what i know about the one i have:

model: Creative VF-0400
product id: 0x4034
vendor id: 0x041e

it works fine on linux with the spca5xx drivers, so that gives me hope. if
there are some starting hints or pointers for adding cameras to macam, that'd
be great.

i'm fairly experienced with c++, though not with obj-c; mostly i do 3D graphics
programming, and also have experience with writing maya and director plugins,
quicktime, and serial port devices. let me know if you think it'd be possible
...

thanks,

--ben chang
