Thanks for your report.
However, it contradicts my own testing.
The macam app and the component works with this camera
and with other applications.
However, I did not test the applications you listed and I did
not test on Mac Intel. To get a Universal Binary of the macam
component that works properly, you need one of CVS builds
released after 0.8.4.
Also, I don't know about Yahoo Messenger, iVisit, or ISPQ,
but iChat does not work with USB cameras out of the box.
You need iChatUSBCam (or something similar), but then
it should work fine.
Perhaps you should first test with Quicktime Player (if you
have Quicktime Pro), or BTV or Video Viewer, or HackTV,
or wacaw (command line grab utility).
