Read on the homepage that the Communicate STX is not supported. I
forgot to check that before mailing you earlier. Sorry about that.
However... Since I have a Communicate STX I am willing to help.
Debugging, searching, developing. Whatever help you need, I am
willing to assist. Although my time is limited, so I might not be
able to dig too deep.

I got a webcam which is not supported by osx (or macam). The
readme stated that you wanted to know when webcams were not
suported, so here goes.
The model is Logitech's QuickCam® Communicate™ STX (http://
www.logitech.com/index.cfm/products/details/US/
EN,CRID=2204,CONTENTID=10136).
macam version: 0.8.4, 2005-11-16
OSX version: 10.4.6
System profiler gives:
Product ID: 0x08ad
Vendor ID: 0x046d
